Here are a few layouts that I made this week for the The Nook Scrap-Off that I mentioned in my last post.
The 1st challenge this week involved us scraplifting one of the design team member’s projects.
I choose this one by Amanda Boyles…
I immediately liked all the brown tones and the sketch/placement for this one.
Oh and all that fun distressing was an added bonus too.
And here is my take on it…
Next up was a challenge to make a layout using multiple photos – but the trick is that it had to be the same photo.
And then we had a bonus challenge where we could make a layout about me – it had to include a photo + journaling about yourself + show off your scrap style. I started with this photo because my friend – Amy – said it was so “me” – sunglasses on my head, camera in my hand, and observing those around me. As far as scrap style – clean and simple with some distressing, ribbon, flowers, bling, and a tad bit of Heidi Swapp.
Well that’s it for now but I just saw where there is now a “mini” challenge up involving cards so I will be back soon! ![]()

I happened across your blog through the design girl and thought it was funny that we have the same first name our boys have the same first name and we both love to scrapbook. I pretty much only do digital now. love your work.
