An oldie but goodie…

Whether you realize it or not, we all have a scrapping style or at least some reason why we keep coming back to this fabulous hobby that we all love.  If you have been a visitor here for a while, you have probably realized how much I love journaling on my layouts.  Sure I love all the pretty paper, embellishments, and dare I say that my ribbon collection is a wee bit out of hand – but the driving force behind my love of scrapping is the stories behind my photos.  So when I ran across this – new to me – challenge site today, I totally fell in love with the concept.  It is called The Story Matters and this month’s challenge was designed for you to share your favorite summer memory, which I think is perfect for this time of year.

Please know that I always – always – make new layouts or projects for the challenges that I participate in.  With all of that said…  I have already “told” this particular story in our family’s albums and I don’t think I could say it any better than I did in this particular 2 page layout that I made way back 2007 – way before I created this little scrappy home on the web.

So here is my entry for this month’s challenge over at The Story Matters

By the way… sorry for the terrible 2007 scan.  Trust me when I say that these pages do look better in real life.  I just have no time to go back and redo it because we have dinner guests coming over in 45 minutes and I am here at my computer instead of preparing dinner.  Bullet_Smiley_1
